We celebrated STEM Week 2024 by hosting our own Invention Fair, across all 3 campuses! Our students worked incredibly hard to produce many creative and well engineered inventions to solve a ‘time’ based solution. At over 300 entries, it was hard to choose a winner!
In the primary phases each class was assigned a country and had to learn stories and traditions about their particular country. The children wore colourful clothes, as well as traditional clothing. It was a fun afternoon full of activities such as food tasting, weaving and cultural dances, with some classes even receiving special visits from parents. It was a fantastic event that taught the children the importance of diversity and cultural appreciation.
We have designed the Faith, Family and Fellowship Federation Newsletter to showcase some of the initiatives and work from across our schools’ communities.
The Faith, Family and Fellowship Newsletter will be sent to all families across the Federation each term.
We hope you enjoy reading our good news and stories.

We are delighted to share with you the report written by Ofsted for St. Mary Magdalene C of E All Through School which took place on the 1st and 2nd of November. We remain to be a good school and are very pleased to share the many strengths highlighted in the report.
Inspectors visited both our campuses and observed a wide range of lessons across all year groups at our Woolwich Primary Campus as well as across both the Primary and Secondary Phases at our Peninsula Campus. They observed break and lunchtimes as well as talking to a substantial number of pupils and staff.
The inspectors clearly recognised how all our work is driven by our strong ethos and vision centred around our key values of Faith, Family and Fellowship. The report reflects how hard we work on building positive working relationships with everyone across our school community, ensuring they are safe in a calm and orderly environment.
Our Ofsted report affirms our own school self-evaluation and we will continue to work on our one area for development with the actions that have already been put in place this academic year.
This year we have also been able to celebrate our strong GCSE and SATs results which are a testament to the hard work of all our staff. We look forward to the future, striving for excellence as set out in our Federation vision.
We are extremely proud of our school and we hope you enjoy reading the report.

Dear parents and carers,
As part of constant improvements to our practice, we have been trialing a number of different types of software to improve communication with families. We have listened to parents’ feedback requesting an easier way to communicate and view all their child’s information. Therefore, we are excited to announce from this September 2023 all parents and carers across the federation will be able to use one App on a phone, tablet, or computer to access all student information in one place, including communications and payments.
If you do not currently receive emails from the school please email our Federation Data Manager, Nick Heal on NHeal@koinoniafederation.com who can update your contact details on our system.
12 Year 6 children across the federation went down to Canterbury Christ Church University to take part in a creative design workshop. The children had taken part in a competition, where they had to design their own imaginary world and then write about it. These entries were sent off to be judged and 4 of our teams won! Their prize was to go to the university to digitise their illustrations, use the greenscreen technology to transport themselves into their world and then work with the sound-design technicians to produce a soundscape to layer over the top. The children loved it!!
Year 4’s in the Federation went to PGL Swindon on their school journey from 13th - 17th March. It was a great experience for everyone involved. We got to try amazing activities like rock climbing, canoeing, abseiling, raft building, zip lining and more. Some activities required bravery and courage and some activities needed problem solving and team work. We were all so proud of how the children went outside their comfort zones, many trying things for the very first time, and had lots of fun doing it.
"We had a really fantastic time on school journey, and we did some really great activities. We did Canoeing, Giant Swing, Jacob's Ladder, Areoball, Trapeze, Rafting, Rock Climbing and many more. We had great fun and did lots of things we had never done before, learning lots of new skills! We worked in teams to achieve our goals in each task!" Written by one of our Year 4 pupils.

God of love,
We thank you for the life of The Queen,
for her service to our nation,
and for her faith in you.
Be close to all of us who mourn,
that we may we find comfort and hope in your love,
through Jesus Christ our Lord.
Amen.
Everlasting God, we pray for our new King.
Bless his reign and the life of our nation.
Help us to work together
so that truth and justice, harmony and fairness
flourish among us;
through Jesus Christ our Lord.
Amen.
