WELCOME FROM THE HEADTEACHER

It gives me great pleasure to introduce myself to you as the Headteacher of St. Mary Magdalene CE Primary Phase. I am proud to be part of a school community that offers a family atmosphere and has the highest standards and expectations of the whole school community, and believes that all children should be heard and feel confident to share their ideas, skills and talents.

I believe in putting the needs of the child at the heart of everything we do and I aim to provide the best possible education for every child within the context of a caring, inclusive Christian community underpinned by Luke 6:31 which reminds us to do to others as you have them do to you. I will support all at St. Mary Magdalene to nurture and develop the whole child and strive to provide a broad and balanced curriculum as well as a wide range of enriching opportunities to the develop the personal, social, physical and creative skills of all our children. We are a proud and ambitious school and we consistently challenge each other to be better versions of ourselves, and go into the world as courageous, resilient, motivated students with a love of learning.

Inevitably, a website can only give a snapshot of a school and I welcome you to make an appointment to come and visit us so you can see our very special school in action. I would be delighted to show you around and provide you with a chance to meet our children, talk to the staff and view the environment in which we learn, work and play.
