We are excited to share with you a remarkable initiative led by some of our students here at St. Mary Magdalene. In collaboration with Tender our healthy relationship partners, these students have created a thought-provoking podcast titled "Positive Masculinity."

The podcast delves into the concept of positive masculinity and explores the qualities that define it. The students involved have demonstrated exceptional insight and articulation as they discuss what it means to embody positive masculine traits, how these can be promoted throughout society and the impact negative masculinity has on women and the rest of society. Their perspectives are not only enlightening but also inspiring, offering valuable insights into fostering healthy relationships and attitudes.

It gives us great pride to inform you that this podcast has not only been shared within our school community but also extended to the wider Greenwich borough and the Domestic Violence Reduction Unit. The impact of their message is already resonating beyond the confines of our school, contributing positively to important conversations about masculinity and gender dynamics.

One particularly commendable aspect of this initiative is the students' commitment to spreading awareness amongst younger age groups. They will be collaborating with our colleagues in the primary phase to explore the concept of positive masculinity with our younger students. By engaging in these conversations early on, we hope to instil positive values and attitudes from a young age.

We strongly encourage you to take the time to listen to the podcast. It serves as an engaging and insightful resource that can stimulate meaningful conversations within your family about masculinity, respect, and healthy relationships. You may find it to be a valuable tool for exploring these important topics with your children.
